Workshop: Thin Film and 3rd Generation PV : New processes and technologies for advanced cost efficient devices (I)

Date: Friday, 14th December 2012

Place: Hotel Diagonal Zero (Plaça de Llevant,s/n. 08019, Barcelona)

This workshop is co-organised by the INDUCIS FP7 Marie Curie IAPP project (project number 285897,www.inducis.eu) and XARMAE (Catalan Network of Reference on Advanced Materials for Energy)(http://xarmae.org/) as part of a series of workshops devoted to reviewing of significant state o fthe art aspects related to R+Donthinfilmand3rdgenerationPVtechnologies,including technologies with short to medium transferability toward sindustrial stages and more innovative approaches with longer perspectives towards industrialisation. According to the topics relevant for INDUCIS, special emphasis is given to chalcogenide based technologies (including more mature Cu(In,Ga)Se2 based technologies and alternative next generation chalcogenide materials) and new concepts related to up and down conversion issues will be also reviewed.

Thursday 13 December 2012

8:45h to 18:30h

Venue: Hotel Diagonal Zero (Plaça de Llevant, s/n. 08019, Barcelona)

The workshop is an opportunity to analyze the types of superconducting materials that can be used in electrical machines, current superconducting machine projects and the challenges for the application of HTS materials in high power wind turbines.
During the workshop, we will hear from leading experts with extensive experience in superconducting materials and machines, and we will hold an open discussion to define their current status and the steps to be followed to develop the next generation HTS wind turbine.
The workshop is addressed to all people and companies that have experience in high power wind energy and consider HTS machines as a viable alternative.
